Frequently Asked Questions

Will you sign/personalize my copy?
Yes! I offer signed copies of my newest releases + my other books every time I have a new book released. Keep an eye out on my Instagram or Newsletter for info on this.

In what order should I read the Rivelle Realm books (Eva/Alliana)?
The books can be read either chronologically OR by release date.
Chronologically: Alliana, Girl of Dragons -> Eva Evergreen, Semi-Magical Witch -> Eva Evergreen and the Cursed Witch
By Release Date: Eva Evergreen, Semi-Magical Witch -> Eva Evergreen and the Cursed Witch -> Alliana, Girl of Dragons

Are there more Eva Evergreen books?
For now, Eva and Ember’s story is a duology but with support from readers, perhaps it can become more books? :)

What ages are appropriate for your books?
My middle grade books are great as a read aloud for those as young as 6 years old (and sometimes younger) and can be read by readers on their own for those 8 years old up to any age.
My young adult books are best for readers about 13+ years old, depending on the reader.

What's your favorite book?
There are so many wonderful books, and it's too difficult to choose just one! So, here are a few of my favorite books & authors: Anna-Marie McLemore, The Downstairs Girl (Stacey Lee), Goose Girl & Princess Academy (Shannon Hale), A Snicker of Magic (Natalie Lloyd), Nevermoor (Jessica Townsend), Keeper of the Lost Cities (Shannon Messenger), Spin the Dawn (Elizabeth Lim), Ella Enchanted (Gail Carson Levine), Mandy (Julie Andrews), The Old Kingdom Trilogy (Garth Nix), The China Garden (Liz Berry), The Dreamhunter Duet (Elizabeth Knox), Sevenwaters trilogy (Juliet Marillier), R.L. LaFevers, Tamora Pierce, The Lie Tree (Frances Hardinge), The Night Circus (Erin Morgenstern), The Bartimaeus Trilogy & Lockwood series (Jonathan Stroud)... (and a lot more)

What are your favorite movies?
Into the Spiderverse and Zootopia.

What are your favorite TV shows?
Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun and Kimetsu no Yaiba. Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun is romcom about a manga artist and the girl who has a massive crush on him - it's so funny! Demon Slayer is a sweeping, epic story of a brother and sister trying to change their futures.

What inspired you to write?
Ever since I was young, I’ve loved reading. Books were my go-to friend on bad days or just when I wanted to travel somewhere new. I hope my stories can do the same for readers.

What advice do you have for writers?
Keep on writing! All writing is practice. Get help from readers you trust to review and critique your work. Edit, edit, edit to find and refine the heart of your story. Good luck!
